Panaflos aren't that quiet at 12V.

1. Nexus
2. Papst

Both push a lot less air than other fans which is why.

look in the recommended fans section. you'd be best to realise that no fan is 'quiet' at 12v and you have to trade off speed for silence and undervolt the fan to 7v or 5v etc

I'd wager either Nexus or SilenX

I'm a big fan of the PC Power and Cooling Silencer. It is very quiet at 12V. It doesn't push as much air as many fans, but it is a good fan for a system, when you don't want to be bothered with volt mods and such.

Well I have ran the gambit of modding and start ups at 5 v and 6 v dual or in line wire ups and have found because of the mass amount of dirt in my systems, I guess?, fans began to lack a consistent start up, so I am always craking the case to see what fan is locked up. I had no idea I lived in so much dust. : (

I refuse to risk my modded mike psu by running fans at 7 v and so have been running the 3 80L's at 12 v for now.

Maybe when I move I shall be in a less dusty area.

But am thinking of selling the panaflo's I have and getting some more silent default 12 volt fans instead. Or maybe just one big freken 120 mm for an exhaust fan, since I shall soon buy a 9800 radeon Ultimate.

Thanks for the suggestions and I will reread the fan index portion too. :)

Maybe you should look into some kind of filtration of your intake air?
