Search brought up nothing about these fans I found on http://www.whispertec.com/Fan120.html
Look rather optimistic for double bearing fans, but only if *dreams on*
Anyone had any experiences?

*bump*
I just ran across this site during a search as well.
Anyone have any insight on these fans? They're ball bearing and their specs seem overly optimistic. They've got a fairly large air gap between the vanes at the hub. I don't recognize them. But at 10.50 UK pounds each ($20 USD) I'm hesitant to order a couple for testing.
Anybody?
12v 2.0w 54cfm 18db/A 1325rpm
7v 1.2w 36cfm 10db/A 900rpm
They also sell different fan mounts that I haven't seen before.

It look like they are working the dba out by using a calculator instead of testing it with a db meter. It definately wouldnt be 54cfm if it was 14dba. Nexus are the only computer component brand that I can think of who dont make up their fan specs. If it looks to good to be true it normally is.
Those fans mounts are rubber ones. They are meant to be easier too install than the blue fan mounts by earcs but they wont be as effective since the earcs ones are a silicon composite.

I had come across this site before, they seem to sell a big selection of fans.
Those figures are WAY TOO OPTIMISTIC!
Nexus claim 22db running at 1000rpm. How would this fan get the same airflow at 7v with 100rpm less and run 12db quieter?
These fans from PC Next Day seem more realistic.
But they are still 2 ball bearing fans.
Glacialtech SilentBlade 12025
- Fan Speed : 950 RPM
- Noise : 19 dBA
- Air Flow : 37 CFM
Nexus 120mm
-Fan Speed : 1000 RPM

- Air Flow : 36.87 CFM
Luxotop R120L Silent
- Fan Speed : 1325 RPM

- Air Flow : 54 CFM

Damn, you're right! I always see the aluminum or LED Evercool fans. The blade pitch/design is identical.EndoSteel wrote:Mr_Smartepants
