I'm using a Sunbeamtech Rheobus V2 and it does the job very nicely. cheap too

On this subject, does anyone else think that some fans have voltage sweetspots, where noise levels all but disappear?

I've recently bought some new fans and a new CPU HSF and I was struggling to get a good balance between noise levels and system temps just using 5V/7V/12V combinations. In the end I put the rheobus back in (it'd been out of my case for a while) and just from a few seconds twiddling I got the noise level right down, and the PC runs much cooler (3C at idle, 8C at load)

Another vote for the Sunbeam. Cheap and excellent build quality.

The thermaltake hardcano 13 is 2nd only to the t-balancer. There are many reviews on the net and here is one of them:

Do you know if the hardcano 13 works ok with 1000RPM fans like the Nexus 120mm?

T,

I sure don't remember making that claim, however, I really like mine. I use it to undervolt my nexus case fans to about 650 rpm and I use the thermal probes to monitor the hard drives. The only problem is that the voltage range is from 6v to 12v so if you have a 1650 rpm fan you can only go down to ~ 825 rpm unless you use another adapter of some kind to cut the voltage a little more. - FG
