I've got a Papst 4312MV Variofan that I run at ~10v (removed the thermistor) from a Sunbeam rheobus, and I think it's great for the airflow I get-- I actually don't mind 35dB inside my case.
I need another one for an XP-120, but I can't pay $30 for a fan again. I was wondering if there is any other sleeved bearing 120mm fan that can put out ~80CFM at 30-40dB, and not click when I want to bring the speed/noise down.

I'll be overclocking the mobile. I'll find the point of diminishing return when raising voltage and fan speed, and I'll be leaving my fan wherever it needs to be to keep the chip cool at that voltage point.
I know there are probably zero overclockers on this board, but I kinda like to collect fans and this is where I get all my info when I need a good one.

Actually, there are quite a few overclockers here and a whole lot more ex-overclockers.dobbz wrote: I know there are probably zero overclockers on this board, but I kinda like to collect fans and this is where I get all my info when I need a good one.
It's just that overclocking for bragging rights doesn't always go with the quest for silence. You can achieve good overclocks with a mobile while still keeping things quiet and none of this requires even half the cfm. Chips will take a lot more beating than you'd expect and in all probability you'll hit the max overclock of the chip before you hit the thermal limit.
You may want to consider the Globe 120s. These will give you the CFM if you need it, but will also quiet down when you dont. I am both overclocking and running a quiet system - its very possible even without water cooling! You just have to be able to accept 5-10C higher temps which is fine as long as you dont touch 60C.
