I still hope a source for the 140 mm 1000 rpm Yate loon shows up,in the US. So far there is only a German site. Odd,I'd think some market exists for a 140 low rpm,low cost fan.

ok, i know i'm ressurecting this thread, but i remember this thread from a while ago - has it been 100% confirmed that the fans sold by the PCTekOnline store are the D12SM-12 Yate Loons? if so, time to go order 15 for my new case :) (somewhat quiet, but well-cooled is what i'm aiming for)

thanks guys, and sorry for the thread ressurection

Have you checked out the Yate Loons being sold by J-Mag? http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=28062

i really want something with more than 48cfm, considering 10 out of 15 fans will be for use on thermochill PA 120.x series radiators, i'd rather get the M model over the S and if i need to make it quieter, just undervolt it with my rheobus

get low speed black yate loons from jab-tech.com
get UV sensitive w/ blue led medium speed fan from case-mod.com
Both of these have rpm monitoring, and a 3-pin power supply.
Quality control for yate loons is a bit less than nexus, but if you're lucky, you'll get a good fan. I don't know where they sell the medium speed without the leds. The low speed however, is already a good 350rpm speed boost from the nexus, and it should be enough.
