Remember TEKGEMS

Post by frankgehry » Thu Mar 31, 2005 10:11 pm

SPCR readers,

I emailed Mr. Kim at Tekgems to see if he was interested in selling more orange yate loons and maybe some globe S1202512L's. He said he would look for some, but in all fairness to Mr. Kim I would like to get an idea of how many people would actually be interested. We can use the numbers to help convince him. I could use a few more, but how about others? Besides I need to figure out what my cut will be. Just kidding (my cut = 0). - FG

EDIT: The purpose of this poll is to establish a business case. Mr. Kim might be thinking - these guys will buy anything, or he could be thinking - I lost my shirt with those orange fans. I just remember the post "Is this a yate loon?" or something like that with about 6 pages or replys so I'm assuming there is still some interest. My belief is that if there is a factory making Globes somewhere, I should be able to buy one.

If you want another model let me know and I will add it too the poll. Mr. Kim is not a silent computer fanatic so our input will be helpful.

You need a no responce. That way you can at least tell how many peeps have taken the poll.

i wish him the best of luck finding them - yate loon is not a fun company to get in touch with. keep in mind that if he does order some direct, they won't be here for at least 3 months (container ship from taiwan).

Could be hard

Yeha,

I'm sure you're right. I think since pctekonline has them, there must be somekind of network and if Mr. Kim knows what to look for he might be able to make a trade with another dealer or tell his distributor to be on the look out for them. It may not happen, but I thought I would give it a try. - FG

If they're the same price as before, I'd buy 10 Orange D12SL-12's.

This poll isn't as useful as could be as you can't select more than one answer.

I'd buy a few D12SL-12 and a few D12SM-12 if they have RPM monitoring. PCTek's D12SM-12 does not have monitoring.

OK

ilh,

I'll try to add some more detail, but for now just assume they have rpm monitoring, or if there is another fan you think people really want add that in a post and I'll add it to the poll.

So for now they will all have rpm monitoring. I guess that's why pctekonline still has them. - FG

I would buy more than five or the orange low speed ones...and i would pick up some more of the medium speed ones...they are all gone used now..haha....even 92mm fans would be great....good fans are hard to find at a good price
