NMB "zomg quietest fans evar" @ xoxide

Post by mpgalvin » Sun May 29, 2005 7:00 am

ok, thier website pimps it up, and given the cheapness factor, i'm willing to give them a try if anyone else hasn't. anyone have any experience with xox, or with the NMBs? (my difficulty is in finding 60mms that can be reasonably called "quiet", i understand that fan size isn't really condusive to silent operation, but for the particular application i'm looking at, there isn't room to replace with 80s.) i'd be running two at 6v (heh) to try and cut the noise.

i'm hesitant to use a webvendor that readily deploys the "lol eat cat" cliche in lieu of actual witticism in their adcopy.

ps: hey mods, the recommended list has the 80mm NMB entry duplicated.

Thanks!

just wondering about the fan detailed here.

sorry if everything comes out as stream-of-conciousness-through-a-cuisinart.
it's an idiosyncracy of mine. :/

Not much quiet at 60mm, but this site is fairly reliable and recommends the SPIRE FD06015S1M.

I've ordered from Xoxide a few weeks ago. Got a Func mouse pad and lan bags. No problems whatsoever and the package came promptly.
