I guess you noticed the dozens of replies you got right away.
I don't know of any analog fan controller that mounts in a floppy bay.
However... if you're experimentally minded... The Nexus 205 (I think that's the model number) seems to be a PWM controller (so no big heat sinks) with L and C filtering of the output, so that a nearly pure DC level goes to the fan. If you check out the photographs of the inside of the unit, in reviews and at retail sites, there seem to be two "capacitors" per each of the 4 outputs, only one of the "capacitors" appears to have wire wound around it - that's an inductor (L), not a capacitor.
It's your money and no guarantees, but you might like it. One other option is the FP-33 (Silverstone), which is a PWM but at a switching frequency of 25KHz, which is what the mobos are using that control fan speed on 3-pin fan headers. The problem is, there isn't room in a floppy slot for a lot of heat sinks. I'm suggesting alternatives. You might not like them, which is fine. Your money, your system, your call.

This one was reviewed by SPCR. I have a few and they work great. Inexpensive too.DG wrote:The title says it all: 3.5" fan controller with NO PWN...Where can i find one?
Akasa junior is the same with the one in Ralf's link. So i guess it's analog: http://www.linuxmall.com.br/_product/2/ ... 0c76d4.jpg
ps: sa imi zici si mie daca gasesti culoarea negra in Buc, la pccoolers nu e pe stoc...

It's hard to tell if it's in stock, but there are several shops, one of them may have it:

Too bad it doesn't have a thermal probe, I got used to the one in my current controller (I only need 2 knobs and no need for the USB).

The Akasa part number is AK-FC-06. This info, and pics of the insides, were posted by kater. I forgot about this one. Not sure it's available in the US of A.
I've also found this one: http://www.directron.com/f403mini.html

Sorry for bringing this thread back up.
Anyone know of a good, reputable place to buy the ATN-TP-02E / Akasa Fanmate Jr. 3.5" Fan controllers in the USA? I did a google search, and some of the stores look a bit "dodgy".
Just seeing if anyone has any good experiances buying these in the USA from a good store. Thanks.

I've used a cheap no thrills cooltek one which was roughly around 10 euros. Depending on the case you might want to get some 5.25" adapter if needed. You'll have to deal with some extra cable clutter as well but that shouldn't be too bad.
