Arctic Cooling 12L start voltage ?

Post by mertsag » Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:48 am

Hi,
I'm considering that Arctic Cooling 12L 120mm for my Ninja cpu cooler.
He looks fine as I have the 92mm on their cpu cooler (don't remember the name), it's quiet and considering it's price, a really good performer.
But if I take one, it will be undervolted at 5v. And I'm wondering: will it start at 5v ???
If someone has tried, or has this fan and can try, or know how to know... Thank you!

As you could have seen here the minimum starting voltage of the 12L is 5.3V. Read it for more information.

You could also try a Nexus or a Yate Loon (the same fan actually, except the Yate Loon runs a little faster). The Nexus won't start at 5V (minimum is 5.5V), but it's quiet at 7V. Or 9V. Or 12V. Very good fan.
