Will this blow up my comp/psu? molex fan controller

Did the mod according to the sticky guide here, but with just a molex to molex and not a splitter. Am worried about the fine print about possible PSU wreckage from this. I tried it on an old computer and it does work, but my concern is for my current comp.

All I can say is that I've been running similar mods for years with no problem. I don't think anyone consider 5 or 7 V mods unsafe. 8)

As far as I know, there is a big difference between 5v and 7v mods. There is no possible problem with a correctly wired 5v mod. For 7v, there used to be an admonition that there be a load downstream. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. There are several etailers selling the 7v mod with no warning.

Awesome thanks. My Thermaltake 92mm has been driving me crazy for some time.
