Noctua S12B vs P12 Fans

Post by jl2k2 » Thu May 14, 2009 7:14 am

Hi Guys,

I currently have.

Noctua NH-C12 CPU cooler,

2 x Noctua P12 Fans for intake/output.

I like to get some advise if the S12B are better for case fan or the P12.

I am thinking of buying the S12Bs for intake/output, and use the existing P12s for PSU fan swap and Accelero S1 (which I am waiting for stock)

My case is the Cooler Master Elite 335

Thanx in advance!

The NF-S12B is better as a case fan (great airflow/noise ratio), whereas the P12 is better when mounted on a heatsink or in a retrictive environment, like the PSU - since it has high static pressure. So I would say that yes, your configuration is excellent.
