Best 92mm case fan? PWM or 5V adapter

Post by jamsponge » Fri Aug 06, 2010 12:57 pm

Hi,

What is the best 92mm exhaust fan to go for? I want something very quiet. I was thinking about a Noctua 92mm with ULNA. I wondered if a PWM would be better like the Akasa AK-FN052.

Thanks

Nexus Real Silent 92mm fan. Add a Zalman fanmate and tune it to how quiet you want it.

Noctua, why not... Nexus is better and cheaper.
I think that the 92mm Noctua tends to be more noticeable than the Nexus, but it might push a bit more air than the Nexus (I don't remember what the review on SPCR says). Also, the Nexus is a better choice than the Noctua if your case has some restriction in the airflow.

just to be different, i'll say the 92mm gentle typhoon.

if you're running it at 5v, any of the 3 mentioned should be pretty much silent.
