Panaflo L1A vs. M1A?

If I undervolt a Panaflo M1A fan to the same cfm / rpm as an equivallent diameter L1A, is there any difference in noise levels or noise character between the two?

Yes, I found the M1A to be buzzier at the same air flow rate.

Not that bad though.
