check out my install photos here.
I really like the 6A19 compucase. Loads of room to work in. My only complaint is the funky plastic fan holders w/non-standard mounting holes. You can see how I had to offset drill new holes on the rear of the case for the fan grill.

I think most real acoustic foam sold for sound rooms etc. would be too big to fit in a computer case other than maybe on the main side door. It tends to be kind of thick.

Try to fit it as thick as you can of course.

you can put a layer both inside and outside of your computer. the thicker the better.

Foam or similar stuff ideally damps echo, the tendency of a sound to bounce until it escapes. It also can damp-mute resonences in the metal of a case, but foam lacks the density to stop some sounds passing through. An ideal thing would be a metal-foam-metal (or wood) sandwich with an additional rough textured liner-which could be a heavy fabric, carpeting,or a ribbed or textured dense foam. You then kill internal echoes and the 2 high density layers, metal or would give a barrier. You'd want a clever indirect path intake, probably under the case.

Obviously tis approach adds several inches to the overal dimensions. An existing case could provide the basic form, the inner metal wall.
