i got a 6A19, after a nice search in town i found a place that sells acoustic foam
i need to know the follow:
what do i need to search in acoustic foam?
how deep shoud the foam be?
any tips or help

I really like the 6A19 compucase. Loads of room to work in. My only complaint is the funky plastic fan holders w/non-standard mounting holes. You can see how I had to offset drill new holes on the rear of the case for the fan grill.

Foam or similar stuff ideally damps echo,the tendency of a sound to bounce until it escapes. It also can damp-mute resonences in the metal of a case,but foam lacks the density to stop some sounds passing through. An ideal thing would be a metal-foam-metal (or wood) sandwich with an additional rough textured liner-which could be a heavy fabric,carpeting,or a ribbed or textured dense foam. You then kill internal echoes and the 2 high density layers,metal or would give a barrier. You'd want a clever indirect path intake,probably under the case.
Obviously tis approach adds several inches to the overal dimensions. An existing case could provide the basic form,the inner metal wall.
