Moderators: Suggested HTPC chassis review

Post by derekva » Wed Nov 09, 2005 5:31 pm

Mike / Ralf:

You might want to do a review of the Origen AE Technology X11 HTPC chassis. While it is aluminum, it seems to be taking a lot of tips from the silent PC realm (80mm exhaust case fan instead of 60mm, HDD grommet mounting, good ventilation, lots of space for airflow, etc.). I just bought one recently and it is pretty quiet (although it could probably use some AcoustiPack or something similar).

Good idea! The only thing you have to do to get that process started is to send one of those cases over to one of the reviewers and it will probably be thrown into the queue. :/

They can have my case when they pry it from my cold, dead hands...

I didn't think of that. :(

Perhaps they could contact a dealer like PC Alchemy or the manufacturer since a good review from SPCR seems to have an ever-increasing value in today's market, especially among the HTPC crowd.
