120mm fan in Denmark

Post by MassMan » Thu Dec 01, 2005 11:18 pm

Hello fellow audiophiles.

I need some advice on a 120mm cpu fan for xp-120 or Scythe ninja, cooling a non-oc venice a64 3200+.

120mm fans @ edbpriser.dk

The options are quite limited in Denmark, in fact, the only fan that seems to be recognisable is the Nexus but it's quite pricy (incl transport it's €30+).
There are a lot of fancy colorful fans but can any of the 46 fans be recommended for quiet use?

I'd go with the Papst 4412F/2GLL for 95kr.

Or the NorthQ 3702 - once I saw a danish site, which compared the NorthQ and a Pabst (cant remember which Pabst, though). The site aint a true noise-concerned site, so there aint any db measurement. But if I remember correctly, they concluded that the NorthQ was more quiet than the Pabst.

Recently, I saw a Glacialtech 120 mm somewhere in Denmark... Unfortunately, I cant remmember where

ditto, but make sure the fans they ship have the blue/silver embPapst logo. The picture still shows the old black and white logo, which doesn't necessarily mean that they are still shipping that version - maybe they just didn't update the picture. But some companies still ship their old stock.

The reason is, quite a few people around this site (including myself) have noticed a clicking in the older version at low voltages. This phenomenon has not been exibited in the newer version, for what ever reason.

Just a side note, I really question why the Nexus is so much more expensive than the Papst 4412F/2GLL at that shop

I would go for the Papst to.

You can check this list for the best options in Denmark. It is a website that I am working on.

Since you live in Denmark I would be happy to send you an Yate Loon D12SL-12. I bought some samples a while back before you could get them real cheap. I paid $11 each and had to pay taxes to. I will sell a sample for 100 kr.

Just send me an email.
