Post by Badashmods » Tue Feb 07, 2006 11:32 am

Has anyone compared these fans? Does anyone know the start voltage of the globalwin 80mm? Is there anywhere to get the yate loon D80SL-12 in the US today?

You can get D80SL12 through Silencio_777 as he has expanded to eBay.com (well you could order from him to the states earlierly, but...). He gives a SPCR discount and has cheap shipping.

HeatsinkFactory.com has them (scroll to the bottom of the page):

I ordered some, and they should arrive Friday, just in time for the weekend!

Those are the 120mm YL's. He's looking for 80mm. Not sure about the low speed ones, but you can find the 80mm medium speed at PCTekOnline.

I tried the globalwin NCB 80mm and they are crap, don't like em they (the bearing) sound like a hard drive seek, the funny thing is they were real quiet the first few minutes out of the box.

So I am trying to get the yate loon 80mm from silencio. 80mm quiet is not an easy thing. The S-Flex fans (i tried the 800rpm) are very nice, I am very happy with them.
