Jab-tech Fans

Post by Kizz » Sat Jan 07, 2006 8:02 am

I am thinking of ordering a bunch of fans from Jab-Tech (Yate Loons and 80mm L1A's) and would just like to know the experiences of those who have ordered fans from there. Are they good quality? Is delivery prompt? I've become cautious when ordering from new places now after a few duff experiences.

Thanks

I've had fine results with Jab-tech. I'd recommend them.

i just ordered a "made in japan" 80mm panaflo from jabtech. havnt been able to plug it in yet cause the rest of my stuff (from another website) isnt here yet.

shipping was very good. comparable to newegg. ordered it thursday morning, and it arrived on tuesday afternoon. and this was over the new years weekend.

in case your wondering about the fan. its a "4B23ED-1A", which ive been told are fairly old. ask dorothy if you really wanna know. it doesnt look old at all, looks brand new with no blemishes. so i guess we'll see.

For fans and heatsinks I always buy from Jab-tech. The prices are very good. I have never been less than completely satisfied.

I've ordered 3 or 4 times from Jab-Tech, including the NMB/Mat 92mm fan, heatsinks, fan controllers, floppy drives; never had one problem :)

Order turnaround time, packing and shipping were as expected, oh....and his prices are hard to beat on a lot of things.

I'd recommend Jab-Tech as a reliable vendor.

Aris,

It's made in early 2004, you can tell it from the production code (4B).

Alrighty thanks, as long as it works well I'm not massive bothered about age :D. I've heard good things about their shipping to the UK, so I guess I'll be ordering sometime soon.

if your from the UK why not just order from a very reliable UK vendor? Dorothy Bradbury is in the UK, prices are VERY competitive. plus she basically cherry picks the quietest panaflo's available.

her website: http://www.dorothybradbury.co.uk/
her SPCR forum info: http://forums.silentpcreview.com/profil ... ile&u=1376

no sense in ordering from the US when you can get a guarenteed quietest panaflo possible from your own country.

while i'm completely satisfied with jabtech, if i lived in the UK, i dont think id ever buy a fan from anywhere else.

I know of DB, and would order from her but TBH the single panaflo I want is dirt cheap from jab-tech, and plus I need to get the other stuff anyways. If it fails DB will be my first port of call (although she doesn't stock 80mm L1A's). If you can find me somewhere I can get a quiet 80mm, two 120mm and a fan controller for £29 shipped I'll gladly get em from the UK :D.

I too ordered from jab-tech as even with trans-atlantic shipping it was cheaper than DB (sorry Dot). Packaging was overkill (everything was bubble wrapped, in a box full of polystyrene filling) but that's a good thing!

deal on shipping!

People should also know that Jab-tech doesn't gouge you on shipping. If you order from Newegg and shipping on a small item is $5 then if you order two it's $10. At Jab-tech it's done by weight and on that same order the shipping might well be $5. The vendor is friendly as well. He a nswers questions about products. this vendor deserves credit.

Jab-tech is like my newegg for quiet computing parts :D. They have everything I've needed so far, and (as mentioned) their shipping cost is fair. Haven't had an issue with them so far.

Thumbs up for Jab-tech from here too. I've bought 3 thermalrights, 3 silencers, and countless other things. I know it's not a lot, but as an out of state BACS (broke a** college student), it's a good chunk of my spending money (thank goodness the prices are good). Answers questions promptly too.

I, too, heartily recommend them. In fact, I've found many of their "package" deals with a heatsink/fan combo cost as much as $10 less shipped than the next cheapest (in a good way) competitor. Tunaround and shipping are, as well, exemplary. Now, enough higher-level writing on a message board; back to my thesis...

Yes, I had a good experience too and they're rated highly on resellerratings if the glowing response at SPCR isn't enough.
