Just started folding, using a single: VIA C3 Samuel 2 800MHz running 24x7. Anybody using anything slower? :)

It's my MythTV box, and the folding actually serves a very good purpose for me, as the motherboard makes a high pitched whine when the CPU isn't pegged. And that goes against all things silent, doesn't it?

As a matter of fact yes: a AMD K6/3 400mHz...

Just picked up a X2 3800+ and wanted to let you know its folding 24/7 now. I wanna get as many WU for as little energy usage possible so here are my systems all are on 24/7:

Main Rig: X2 3800+ @2Ghz 1.1V 6150
File Server: AthlonXP 2000+ @1Ghz 1.1V TNT2
HTPC: Sempron64 2800+ @1.6Ghz 1.35V passive 9600xt (adding soon)

I wanna add the HTPC but its running stock voltage and don't really want to heat up my cabinet. I can't undervolt my motherboard and Cool and Quiet does not work on a 2800+. I picked up a sempron 3100+ for $40 bucks from a friend so i could run it at 1.1V but now i'm too lazy to take apart the duct i built and stick it in. It's a real pain in the a**.

Hello,

My newest Folder is also my fastest: Athlon 64 X2 4200+, running two clients (one CLI as a service, and the GUI is in the startup folder). Undervolted by almost 0.1v, it is "passively" cooled with a Ninja, and still stays below 54C -- it is just 44C right now, as a matter of fact!

Hi fellow SPCR folders. I've recently re-jigged my folding lineup, which is now as follows:

-Athlon xp2500+ stock speed - 24/7 - my main computer
-Athlon64 3200+ stock speed - 24/7 - my bro's computer, he does game a bit though
-Athlon64 3200+ @2.2GHz - 5-8 hrs a day - family computer
-Pentium4 2.0GHz - 24/7 - work computer, folding whenever I'm not running a simulation

These machines seem to be netting me a tick over 400ppd with the current work unit mix. A big improvement over what I've been getting over the last few months at least.

Happy folding all.

My One and Only folder is an Xp1800 T'bred running stock clock/voltages with 1 GB of ram that's on 24/7 and using the 4.00 core for Win98 since I dumped XP due to security/privacy issues..

Edit Jun 29
I've just dumped windows in favor of Linux once again and have F@H running as a service so we should start seeing more from me on this XP1800.

Note that unlike others, I'm running it at low priority instead of Idle :D

I just started folding, but I now have both systems folding 24/7:

#1: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.8GHz), 1GB memory (in a moded Antec Sonata)
#2: Intel Celeron M 380 (1.6GHz), 512MB memory (in an HP slimline)

Not powerhouses, but they can do the job.

Got a new system running today. Core Duo 2400T sitting on a Aopen i975-aYDG. I'm still tweaking this thing, but it should be folding two instances most of the time starting... now.

Gotta do some more overclocking tomorrow. I already hit the 199MHz FSB limit and I'm too lazy to pull off those jumpers right now.
