Sticky for the UK
We have stickies for Canada and Australia. Now we have one for the U.K.
I shall edit this post from time to time, trying to keep it reasonably up to date. Please contribute any additions you think are useful. Some brief comments on the suppliers might be worth having too.
[EDIT by ADMIN: Much thanks to Bat for his initiative and long work on this thread, and now to Spoon Boy for his thorough update on Aug 24, 2012 -- This is exactly the kind of effort from members of the community which makes the SPCR forums great! 8)

Evercase(UK) are at http://www.evercase.co.uk/, and are happy to sell one-offs. You have to phone to get prices, except for the special offers. I've just ordered an ECE4252 (without PSU) from them for £18 + next-day shipping £8.

McMaster Carr - $5 shipping to the UK
Mc Master Carr, vendors of fan mounts, grommets, and other useful things, will ship to the UK by USPS Global Priority. It takes 4-6 days and costs $5 for a small bag (10in x 6in), $9 for a large one, weight up to 4lb. This is competitive with UK mailorder charges and makes them quite usable.
You MUST specify USPS GLOBAL PRIORITY $5 SMALL BAG in the "Special Instructions" field. They actually sent my fan mounts UPS Express, but admitted it was their error and refunded the difference.
See this post for part numbers of items which have been of interest to SPCR members.

Re: McMaster Carr - $5 shipping to the UK
No. That doesn't happen unless the declared value exceeds £18, so you're usually ok under $25.britannica wrote:Useful info, - thanks. Did you get stung for import duty/VAT etc ??futureweaver wrote:Mc Master Carr, vendors of fan mounts, grommets, and other useful things, will ship to the UK.....

ZM-80C-HP

also some fans.. vibration dampeners 'n stuff

Whatever you do don't touch Coolcasemods. Not that they have much in the way of silencing products, but the other day I tried to buy a mobo from them, and after 2 weeks of nothing, I rang them up to be told this item had been discontinued. (BTW, this was at 9.30am and I had to wait 5 mins while he booted up his PC!). They had already debited my credit card, so said they would credit it back again. I've just checked their website and they still haven't removed that mobo, and it still has a "buy it now" button. This is in spite of me emailing them to remind them to take it off.
Their website states that it is "under new management" which in this case seems to mean "under incompetent management". Steer clear!

Seems it's now 58gbp.. probably in response to the fact that overclockers now offer it for 53 gbp. They also have a Scythe Kamakaze for 41 gbp. 41gbp!? I thought they were supposed to be cheaper than the Alpha 8942T (currently at 36gbp).DonP wrote:..www.kustompcs.co.uk have just expanded their range of quiet bits..

Breaking news - got a fast reply from Kool'n'Quiet here in the UK when I asked them about the Seasonic Super Silencer 400 (the highest SPCR ranked PSU) this morning:
/bfg
I for one will be ordering it the minute he has stock!Hello Martin
Thank you for your e mail.
Yes. These are due in the UK around 8 Dec. The SS-400AGX is the Super Silencer 400. This will come in a retail box with 3 year's warranty. I don't have any firm prices but it will be around £75 retail. Seasonic are fixing the European retail prices.
I'll e mail you when I have firm delivery dates/ prices.
Thanks again.
best regards, Paul Haussauer - Kool 'n Quiet

I accidentally found a source for SilenX bits in the UK:
www.soadvanced.com
I'm not recommending either SilenX or SoAdvanced.. just mentioning the above site.. it's the first source of SilenX bits I've seen in the UK. They stock PSUs and fans.
