Thanks in advance

One in my case.
The other 6 or 7 are external, some of them as NAS, others as hot-swappable firewire for offsite backups.

A single drive, 160GB if you're interested.
I do a decent amount of downloading (mostly anime lately), but once I watch something I'll transfer it up to a DVD, so this is more than enough for me. Basically all I keep on the HDD are ripped/purchased music and OS/apps.

Two:
A Samsung SP2004C 160GB SATA 3G for OS, programs
A Seagate 7200.10 320GB SATA 3G for storage
Samsung is quiet both idle and seek.
Seagate is quiet at idle, but makes an unbearably loud KKKKKTTTTT sound at seek. I wonder if suspending it would get rid of the seek noise...

At the moment I use 14, although that includes the one in my wife's PC since 13 might be considered an unlucky number.
And there's plenty that are sitting around not being used.

Two HDDs (both extremely quiet and cool):
Samsung SP2004C primary
Samsung HD321KJ backup
I'll flip those around when I get a legitimate version of Windows XP - found out I'd been sold a illegal "Licensing" version by an online vendor two years ago when I was even more naive.
I back up data to DVD every three-six months.

Just one. And it's too big for me and too noisy, but it was a gift so I don't complain (every now and then).
I regularly back up my work files once a week as I've already been thru the hell of recovering some important files. Never again will I let that happen. He who has never lost his files shall not comprehend the nightmarish feeling of looking at a friend technician trying to recover My Documents folder containing a month's worth of work.

Main workstation/file server: six. One WD Raptor for OS and apps, one 250 Seagate for all my music (ripped in
lossless flac format) and a 4x400 WD RE2 RAID 5 array for video.
Girlfriend's computer: 30 GB Fujitsu SCSI drive for OS+apps, 120 GB WD for whatever.
Media PC (mythtv): 80 GB Seagate for OS+apps, 160 GB Samsung for recorded TV.
An 80 GB drive came in my laptop.
I'm contemplating adding another array (4x500 probably). Will be upgrading the media PC shortly with a 320 GB drive.
Believe it or not, almost all of it is even backed up to DVD!
