Well, some people claim that Tom's Hardware sold out years ago. :D

I can't even count how many times I've been to Tom's Hardware and vowed never to return, only to be driven back out of boredom. I just didn't realize other people thought it sucked too.

The only time I ever went to Tom's was if no one else had a review, and then I only went there for the pictures.

??

I thought they had already been sold to Intel about 10 years ago.

what are some good websites then?

i've been reading, SPCR (of course...), xbit labs, inquirer, anandtech, and tom's hardware for years now... tom's has sucked for years.. i don't even know why i check it every day... anandtech seems like a marketing website for OCZ.

i still trust xbit most of the time, and SPCR. any other good sites i should read?

i did a search of the forums but i couldn't find anything...

I've been reading the THG forums for quite some time and never have I seen so much discontent with the users regarding the quality of the articles! I hope things turn out better...some articles where really bad...

One of my favorite sites is guru3d.com. While it may be a little light on the reviews, it's a great information portal on new hardware. It also has most of the newer drivers for most popular hardware along with some tweaking software. SharkyExtreme used to be good, but I hardly go there anymore. GDHardware.com used to be good before they went over to bootdaily.com. Now they're just a bunch of Ageia fanboys...

AVSForum.com, MissingRemote.com, HTPCNews.com, and TheGreenButton.com are all great for HTPC users (particularly MCE users).

Aside from SPCR I frequent extremetech, anandtech, hexus, hardOCP, and bit-tech. Good variety of stuff between them.

Never read Tom's much. Mostly on SPCR, and on Gathering of Tweakers (they're Dutch, so I can well immagine the name says a whole lot of nothing to most of you :))

Tweakers isn't very specialized and usually doesn't have such deep reviews, but they cover just about anything and have something of an online 'paper' running with usually like 10-20 articles a day, so I think it's great.

Besides SPCR and Tweakers I barely have any sites I really visit often, if I want to read about a certain product, I just google and read as much reviews as possible, to get the most complete picture.
