8800 Ultra to have new cooler
Well, I don't have a picture of this new cooler, but if it will be as good as the 7800 GTX 512 one (that is used on the 7900 GTX) then it could be a good stock cooler for the future 8900 GTX. When someone sees this new cooler, please post about it here.

Well, here it is: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=39197
I wouldn't call it 'new', only 'improved'. IMO for such power hungry cards a triple-slot cooler is needed, with exhaust through two PCI slots.

Sparkle put the Macs cooler (already used on 8800 GTX) on their Calibre (overclocked) version of 8800 Ultra: http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=4943
AFAIK it's noisier than stock, but cools better. IMO on the overclocked 8800 Ultra there won't be enough temps difference to allow for lower fan speed.
Update: if you want to buy an 8800 Ultra with the stock cooler, here is a link (actually preorder not buy):

Why do you think so?it's noisier than stock

The cooling system is identical.
Well, I also saw another review, and it said it's noisier, not much though: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getart ... rticID=561
Even if the Macs cooled better - and quieter - than the stock cooler at 100%, that was on a 8800 GTS 320, overclocked by 15%.
It remains to be measured how well (noisewise) the Macs cooler copes with the extra heat of an overclocked 8800 Ultra.

Oh, there will be a 8900, nVidia are always happy to make more money. The 8800 chip at 90 nm is huge, by shrinking the process to 80 and then 65 nm they'll be able to make more of them. What will happen if AMD can't deliver top performance is that nVidia will go for lower clocks (relatively speaking), higher yields at those clocks, also lower power consumption. It took a long time to hand design the 8800 stream processors, nVidia is going to use that design for some time. They might have to make adjustments to the design only if the shrink to 80 nm doesn't go well.
