I already have a 320GB SATA Western Digital AAKS drive that has XP on it but I'd like to put Vista on it and get another drive for dual booting into XP.
I like the Western Digital, it doesn't whine at all and it's the high pitched sounds that annoy me.
I have 2 IDE seagates but I've never owned an SATA model before.
Which one of these 2 80GB drives would you people recomend?
They're exactly the same price +$5 shipping.

Really? What's up with all the people running around on Newegg and the like claiming that the 7200.9 is super quiet? My 7200.7 must be abnormally loud.NeilBlanchard wrote:Hello,
You're right -- the 7200.7 is louder than the best Samsung and Western Digital, and certainly louder than the previous gen Seagates. But, they are quieter than the 7200.8, .9, etc.
