Another Firefox problem...Fixed!
On this computer, I cannot view the Anandtech forums.....the front page is ok. I get a "ooops, you have encountered an error. The Webmaster has been notified"......something like that. Firefox is up-to-date, I can get to the page with IE, and I can get to the Forum page with other computers. This happened suddenly, without any software changes. I have searched the Firefox options....nothing seems changed.
What could have happened?

Have you disabled cookie or Javascript support by any chance?
Javascript: Tools - Options - Content tab - 3rd option
Cookies: Tools - Options - Privacy tab - 2nd section
Not sure if this is the cause, but make sure at least the last is enabled. Also make sure "silentpcreview.com" is not listed on the exceptions with "block" status.
Hope this helps.

Strange....I did an uninstall/reinstall of Firefox. Nope...apparently it saves and reloads all personal settings, bookmarks, cookies, etc. Still couldn't access Anandtech forums.
Then I cleared personal data.....nope. After playing around a while, I located and deleted two anandtech cookies. That fixed the problem.
Thanks for the ideas.....never seen that sort of problem before.

Heh....that was the problem. I found this on the Anandtech Forums page under a news flash.
"Clear your cookies... - 06/24/2007 01:17 PM
We recently updated our forum software to fix a number of issues. As a result, some users are having problems using FireFox on the forums.
The fix for this is to delete your forums.anandtech.com cookies.
We recommend that all members delete their forum cookies, though we haven't run into any technical issues with this in other browsers.
Thanks for your patience while we continue to improve the forums."
All along I thought it was something I did.......
