Because Fry's online store is "outpost.com".

Because many years ago, Fry's bought Outpost.com as a vehicle to begin on-line retailing. Someone else owned the Frys.com domain until last year, when Fry's finally obtained it.

Now, either frys.com or outpost.com takes you to the same place.

Even hotter--there's free shipping. If I didn't already have two of these, I'd buy one this minute.

$79 is cheap to begin with... but $29 !!! B-Stock ? If it is, I think it's worth mentioning, even if the cases are in perfect condition.

I'd assume they're getting rid of Solo stock to make room for the new Designer.

The cheapest Solo that can be found in Croatia is $132 at some shady online retailers, the most expensive is $173.

And you get it for $29 with free shipping...

Bah.

Could be... Though I'm sure many people won't be tempted to buy the Designer 500 because of its questionable looks and its included PSU. I'd be interested to know if Fry's will still sell Solos in, say, 6 months...

These are brand new...and sadly out of stock now. I wish I needed one, I'm full up on computers for at least a year or two...until nehalem it seems :)

Personally I got my solo when they were $39.
