Too bad there's no info on how it controls the fan voltage (i.e. PWM or not) and what the actual range of voltage adjustment is. I Googled a bit and couldn't find that info either. Guess MikeC will have to review one....:)

Based on looks, it's pretty cool.

But functionality is another...

Why don't you get it and do a mini review?

From the AT review:
voltage range ~5V to 12V
Re: PWM noise:
But I think I heard some faint noise from the fan controller (only if I put my ear next it it), could this be what you are taking about? Yeah, I do believe all PWM controllers have this.
Now keep in mind that the average non-quiet freak probably has much less sensitivity to noise than us SPCR's so you should probably between the lines here. Of course he doesnt have his hardware listed but I'll make a stab at putting his statement into a context that we can understand:
But I think I heard some faint noise from the fan controller (only if I put my ear next it, because the sound of my Enermax Whisper PSU, 7 12V Thermaltake Super-Dooper Silencer fans, whiny northbridge fan and Invidia 5900 vidcard fan drowned out the noise of the controller and I couldn't have heard anything without putting my ear up next to it), could this be what you are taking about? Yeah, I do believe all PWM controllers have this.
:)

Of course I could be wrong.

Bump any updates on this? Anyone get it yet?

I might get one...my only concern is PWM noise...

I can't find anywhere if this goes in a 5.25 or 3.5 bay. I assume 5.25, but I want to make sure before I order it. Anyone know?

Ummm.....call or email Directron.com??

My guess from the pics is 5.25"--using the molex connector as a gauge of size--, but checking with the vendor is the safest route.
