Heh. Cellphone ERP (effective radiated power) is limited to 600mW. It should also be noted that this radiation is omnidirectional. Microwave ovens, on the other hand, have a power output of 600w+, and this radiation is very directional and concentrated into a small space. It's not like a cell phone, where only a fraction of the radiation would be absorbed by the water in the corn kernels. In a microwave, all of that energy is being absorbed by the food.
tl;dr: The video is total BS.
EDIT: Looks like 600mW is for analog, and 2W is the limit for digital. Truth be told I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff, I just know you can't make popcorn with a few cell phones.

hahahaha !!!!!!!!
good video and not a bad editing job
Now I understand why some people feel concerned lol
I'm surprised thay haven't tried the same BS with trains for example, since their is so much power going throuhg the power lines. The electromagnetic field is quite big and should at least cook a dozen eggs and medium size popcorn from the movie theater

For God's sake, don't start them on microwaves. They will punish you severely with a misunderstanding of electromagnetism.frostedflakes wrote:Heh.
