I was made aware of this by a relative who is a UMass alum. It's about an engine that accomplishes the four stroke cycle using two cylinders with a compressed air passageway between them.

The claims are astonishing.

meh, not much better efficiency than a modern diesel and still vaporware after almost 10 years of development:

We shall see, I guess.

I don't think it's valid, though, to criticize it for being slow to come to market. Automotive things might not be on so fast a track.
