[DEAD] Antec NSK3480: $45 + reasonable shipping (~$10)

Saw this on another forum and thought people here would be interested. Awesome price for this case (usually goes for closer to $100 after shipping at most sites). Ground shipping for my zip came out to about $10.50.

I remember getting it for ~80 with a 30 dollar rebate and free shipping from the same site.

I'd buy it but shipping is 20 dollars for me.

Thank you! Your timing was perfect. I needed a budget micro-ATX case and would have gotten something cheaper and nastier if I hadn't seen your post. Ground shipping was only $10.70 to Virginia. Second Day was about $10 more, but I'm in no rush.

As a bonus, I was browsing around the Fry's site to see if there was anything else I wanted. Found Crucial 1GB DDR PC3200 RAM for $8.99 (yes, $9) after $17 MIR, with free shipping. My antique computer will be much happier with more breathing room.

Fry's web site is the same sort of mixed experience that I remember from their stores. Submitted order and the server lost connection. Oh great! Completed or not? Don't want duplicate... Hit resend in browser, backed up, went forward, and got order confirmation number. They aren't up to the standards of Newegg or Amazon, but they sure have some deals!

No problem, glad the info was helpful. Frys does have some pretty awesome deals. Fortunately I haven't had any issues with their site, but I don't order from them that often.

Fry's - worked OK

Being paranoid, I decided to check the order. (Their "real soon now" email hadn't showed in an hour.)

By using Fry's Track option, my order number, and email address, I was able to verify the order.

Still, Newegg is my favorite. Never any surprises with them. Anandtech did a couple of articles on their fulfillment process. Amazing stuff:

That was quick!

Order placed Friday evening, ship confirmation emails received Saturday morning and DHL truck delivered Monday at 1:30. (Was really scheduled for delivery tomorrow.)

FYI: Fry's/Outpost shipped from Airborne Logistics Services, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. DHL owns Airborne. DHL usually has the USPS deliver non-bulky, non-rush items.

Pretty impressive service, especially for budget Ground shipping.

DHL cuts 9,500 U.S. jobs

Delivery firm to end U.S.-only operations, will continue shipments to other countries.

By Aaron Smith, CNNMoney.com staff writer
Last Updated: November 10, 2008: 10:15 AM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Global delivery company DHL announced Monday that it was cutting 9,500 jobs as it discontinues air and ground operations within the United States.

DHL said its DHL Express will continue to operate between the United States and other nations. But the company said it was dropping "domestic-only" air and ground services within the United States by Jan. 30 "to minimize future uncertainties."
