Not really. A few % slower, a few bucks cheaper, same controller.

Not for the way I use my PC (games are the most demanding app). Vertex wins handily in some write speed tests over the Agility....I just don't think it matters..I don't expect to be doing a lot of random writes.

Going from a 7200rpm drive to the Agility = big jump in performance.
Going from the Agility to the Vertex = incremental jump.
