Looking for good LED-backlit 1920x1080 monitors

They make noise, too.

Looking for good LED-backlit 1920x1080 monitors

Post by quicksilver » Mon Apr 26, 2010 8:41 am

I'm wondering if folks have suggestions for good LED-backlit monitors with at least 1920x1080 resolution. I'm planning to buy two of them, so price is a factor. However, I'm also going to be staring at them all day every day, so they need to be good quality.

Thanks for any help.

If you want TN, moderate gamut and low power, I like Dell's G2410. My two consume ~15W ea. Current pricing is ~$260ea via Bing shopping.

If you want high gamut, better color accuracy, and higher power use, go S-IPS. Don't have a model suggestion.

A good candidate might be the LG W2363D.

And if you don't mind about LED, also the Dell U2410.

I've been really happy with my Samsung 244T. Outstanding color accuracy, very good sharpness, wide horizontal viewing angle.

OTOH, power supply does buzz a tiny bit (~18 dB or so), narrow vertical viewing angle.

Around my end of the world, this monitor is the cheapest 24". Surprisingly, it is not bad at all, see link below:
