R5 define case - power LED too bright

Post by twitch » Mon Jul 04, 2016 5:24 pm

Anyone figure out an elegant / easy way to dim the bright power LED. I have the PC in my bedroom and the flashing bright blue LED is annoying. Anyone have any ideas other than using a sharpie/ducktape/not use sleep feature? I imagine it could be unplugged from the mobo and not have any light at all?

You could try the the LIGHTDIMS Store. Not that expensive, do work and don't look too bad.

Connecting a resistor in series with the LED will make it less bright.

I don't like light pollution in my single room apartment, so I usually don't connect any of the LEDs in my systems.

Had the same problem, so I replaced the LED with a white one and also sanded the acrylic which it shines through, so now it's almost perfect :)
