I noticed this morning there's now a fifth member on my threats list

Uh oh...I think Pete's voodoo is working on me too :?

I discovered this morning that my laptop isn't stable enough for folding. It was working last week but it crashed sometime over the weekend. Its only a 933MHz PIII, but every clock cycle helps...especially in this race!!! I never did trust that computer after it failed me last summer in the hospital. I installed Sprint's wireless modem card so I could get back online and when I started surfing it crashed taking out the hd with it. Grrrrr.. The comp has never been the same since.

But I'm going to blame this latest episode on Pete's voodoo.

But I'm still closing on ya pete...only 25 hours difference between us for getting to the top 100.

Now where did I put that Apple IIe?

'Whistles innocently' whilst making mental note to send gifts of thanks to the Head Driud

Seriously, hope your troubles are over soon chaps.

Don't want SPCR to loose too many cycles.

... but if it doesn't happen till after I get to 100, or even better 99...
.. Well, what should I get the Druids? 8)

Good luck with your woes,... or do I hear the beginnings of some excuses as to my superiority

Come on, get it sorted, come back and fight ye olde yellow bellies  (Thinks of the film 'The Holy Grail' (?) with the guy at the river crossing... "Come back and fight, I've still got a head" SORRY!! I just realised that's a bit too KWSN  )

Hope all goes well and you both return to being a problem to me very soon :? :D

I've heard Druids always love a goat. So many things you can do with a goat.

Did someone say Holy Grail

Arthur: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.
Black Knight: 'Tis but a scratch.
Arthur: A SCRATCH? Your arm's off!
Black Knight: No it isn't!
Arthur: Well what's that then? (pointing to the arm lying on the ground)
Black Knight: I've had worse.
Arthur: You LIAR!
Black Knight: Come on, you pansy!

Hmmmm, maybe I should go taunt KWSN some more, where's my chainsaw?

I was as close as 23h...but then you scampered ahead :x

I'll catch you and your goat Pete!
And then we can concentrate on catching KWSN! :D

Quite some time ago, I thought to myself that Pete should be dubbed "the unassuming crafty bugger", and I think its now time to air this view publicly. During our race to the first 1000, he jinxed my efforts to successfully set up F@H clients as services, thereby costing me the victory.....AND NOW HES AT IT AGAIN!!!!

Dave (folding as the_crate)

ps. Keep it up lads, most entertaining.

pps. dasman, I overclocked one machine right to its stable limit to hold you off for as long as possible... :P

That gives me a devious idea. We should go to our competitions' forums and give them bad advice on how to set up their folding.

NullObject, that's the one 8)

wussboy, would that need to be a virgin goat, or would one from Wales be OK?

(Lets see how many more I can get fired up to put me in my place 8) And earn more points for the team  )...

Scarf, nice to hear from you again 8)

When you said you OC'd one of your rigs, did you mean you took the voltage regulator off your house generator,
or that you now run it on a secret blend of camel/roo poo?

Tell you what mate, I'll race you to be second to 7000pts  "What's that?... I've won that one as well?"

aston, thats deplorable.... Great thinking Matey

Come on geordie, I even picked up a real bad 5.5 day sTINKER (Copyright ARM 2004  ) to give you a chance

Pointless -- we will pound you into the dirt like those that came before (tho most of those before were grey  )

We're in the middle of some systems upgrades at the office so our points may take a bit of a dip for the next week or so, but then we should be coming on strong 8)

Right, that it. NullObject, I command you to beat the voodoo druid necromancing wizard goat lover (aka peteamer) into the top 100. That will prove conclusively that the jinxing nature of this rural magick madman can be overcame!!  If not, then I fear for us all.

ps. dasman, thank your lucky stars, or deities of choice, that you're a Dave, or I would have considered getting some arcane advice from our resident expert of the esoteric arts to try and blast you into folding oblivion :!: :D and BTW, who's 'we'??

With a goat, sadly. I'm still folding away, although I think one of my friends shut F@H client down who was folding in my name. Grrr...Now I have to go back and beat him up.
