The gauntlet has been thrown.

It's a dutch forum but don't let that hold you back, everybody understands english. :)

Don't underestimate them. They are one of the top teams around, participating in about a dozen projects with probably 4000-5000 users (I was in their UD Grid team before I switched to fah). I think they were #1 for a long time in the RC5 project. From time to time they organize a "Stampede", a sort of an internal race with the aim to improve the position of their team in a project that needs a little help. Hundreds of them switch over and for example race on who gets the most points in one week. Their fah team seems mostly preoccupied on internal races and has dozed off a bit.
Let's see if we can get those cows stampeding. :D

*Warning* Strict moderators. Possible low tolerance to taunting. :x

(edit: added graphs so they are at the top of the thread)

If I remember right the Ni'ers had a fairly nasty encounter with them in the past. (I'm sure Sir Troll, er, Fart will enlighten us)

Either way, this looks to be a shortlived conquest, less than 10 days till we overtake them at the current pace.

Yes, they got banned there. But the moderators simply have very little tolerance there.

Just act normal and it's allright (PeteAmer, don't go there please ;))
And don't underestimate them (I hope  ).

You'd think with a name like "Power Cows", they'd have a sense of humour. :)

Looks like wrah dancing banana'd them. :) Ha! They'll love that.

It sorta looks like German, but I can figure out little of it. I did see that Wrah wrote "stampede." Too funny.

Wrah? Fill us in on the fun.

Nooooo !

We're very well liked by the KOWS, just ask them. We had some epic taunts going with those guys in G@H. We never got banned, not even me  .

A couple of the KOWS visit us to this day and have even thrown a few shrubberies our way. They fertilize their shrubs very well over there  .

You get them guys stampeding and they WILL absolutely crush you. After KWSN visited them, they went into warp drive  . But then, we have that effect on other teams 8) . But they tend not to come to the aid of the Folding team very well :( . And yea, be careful over there a little. Get a few of them out of the pasture and over here and those guys are a riot. Have fun ! Don't forget to invite us to the barbecue.

Having trouble getting in ? I still have an account over there  . I'll get 'em mooing for you  .

Ni !

Just a Thought...

Post by peteamer » Thu Mar 04, 2004 12:28 am

Being in mind the.... 'activities'.. on the mac thread...

do you not think that we should set some rules of engagement?

...Like 'We welcome them with open Arms(tealthPC)'...

...That they are welcome to graze on our grass.. but stay away from our prize Daises?

Just a thought...

Sorry we have to pass you, but you're between us and the Knights With Funny Knees and we have a little score to settle with them.Image

Too bad things aren't more exciting, you're 11500 ppd short.Image
DPC seems to have dozed off into sleep it seems. :> (=kiss) Image

hmm, would 11 day be too short to organise a stampede?Image
Probably. :> (=kiss)

Wooeeei

They quoted me in an article on their frontpage about folding. Somewhere at the bottom where it says HELP!!. :D

You'll have to yank harder on their udders and tails than that to get their attention :? . KOWS are notoriously stupid and are creatures of habit, it takes a lot to get their attention and get them to change direction. Tip a few of them over 8) !! When we finished with them they all acted as if they had Mad Cow Disease and were stampeding their little hoovies all over the place  . It took 'em months to calm down.

Well, I guess it is too late to say this, but you know we could have just passed them quietly! Oh well, now that it has started, we may as well have some fun!

Here's a translation of the response by Kompjoefriek:
Come on guys!

2 serious challenges/tauntings in a row :(
We can't just let this happen, right?!

Hopefully DPC can also amaze the world in this project.

Seems our bovine betters are falling and can't get up. So I generously provide them with a nice quiet, undervolted of course, Panaflow fan to help cool them down.

I'd say plug that cord into a wall-socket. :)

Translation of JohFrael's response:
Do you thinkImage I hope so too, put a post on the frontpage yesterday, but little response

It would be great if DPC F@H would get some more attention because of this 8) We can sure use the boost!
But to be honest I don't think we're gonna get enough support to produce those extra 12.417 ppd. Image
So what's left for us is to wave friendly as they shoot us by and give them our best wishes when they go stamp on KWSN. Image

But if all the old veterans like Ercewee, Hakke, Cowtipping and the (sub)teams DPC_Division_Brabant, Team Switch, Vissen, Halbewoners, Team Joe Bar & DontMindUsTeam would thrown in their full capacityImage

A sauce of Los Alcoholicos over it, in the blender, add some DPC_ColdFusion anduh..

MOOOOOH ImageImageImage Folding the cowshit into their eyes

Ok, looks like they're giving up. No stampede. :(

I actually had to pull the tail of a cow hanging around on the KWSN forum(!) to get some serious response in the DPC forum. Well, at least we got them 21 new members. :)

But overall this turned out to be a real bummer I guess.
