I suggest you buy the abit NF7-S rev2.0 . It's the BEST mobo I ever had. Specially when overclocking.

I use my Barton 2500+ AQXE with a Thermalright SLK900(A) and overclocked it. The core speed went up to 2004.6 MHz from the default 1837.7 MHz with a Multiplier Factor by 10 and setting the CPU Core Voltage into 1,525.

This mobo is good as most members recommended.

I really loved my 7NNXP but it is probably a little out of your budget range...

If the NF7-S 2.0 interests you, the AN7 is also a good choice. It's basically the same but includes the new microGuru feature from ABIT, which is sort of like a smart overclocker software built into the BIOS.

IMPORTANT! If you buy the NF7-S 2.0 and a Zalman 7000-AlCu, you will have to snip off a piece of the heat sink's mounting clip, as per this picture.

I did it, it's not difficult with a good tool, but the warranty is gone.

I have Shuttle AN35N (single channel model) and it's got 4 holes for 7000AlCu and it is a good budget mobo on NForce2 chipset. It's not a _great_ mobo but it is stable cheap and works.

keeping botherboard, figured it out. If l3codecx.ax, the Fraunhofer MP3 codec included with windows media player crashes every time you play a mp3 or avi movie, any program that uses this common codec, you have to install the

Try VideoLAN. Works very good for me, no codecs needed. Ten OS supported.
After using VideoLAN, the eternal quest for better codecs feels so unneccesary.

Are you sure it's your MBs fault? Try another graphic card. I've seen some cards do weird things when running a movie.
