i have to say that the katana cu at the lowest settin is very quiet...
the next step is hard disk soft mounts
and an upgrade for video card... my ati 9600 pro is dead... i fried i cant boot windows with this card ... i'm usig a asus 5200

the hd are silent... cut down seek noise maibe 50-60%
i ordered a themaltake matrix vx case.... it arrive the next week
i want more space and 120mm fans and why not a window... i will post pics soon

I think you will find that after you have managed to silence those HDD's, you'll find the case fan is noisy, after that, maybe you find the PSU ramps up to much, etc... Enjoy the addiction That looks like it'll be hard to silence those HDD's though, there are 3 of them in quite a small place, this calls for creativity. If you look around for drive suspension threads (there are plenty), I think in the one titled "Drive suspension - show your pics" or something, there was one where somebody cut out the drive cage, and built their own with pieces of aluminium L channel, and then suspended the HDD's with elastic. That might work for you...

I'm very concerned about those hard drives, though. Regardless of whether you're bothered by the noise, they're almost certainly not receiving enough cooling. In the past, I've crammed hard drives that close together, and as a result I consistently killed them one by one due to overheating.
IMHO, you really need to do something about keeping those hard drives cool, even if it means more fan noise.
