I received yesterday the cables and already mounted two 130W winmate PSU in my PC. I used #4 screws 1" length for metric use M3 with 25mm length you can even use shorter about 3/4" or 20mm I think it dose not look to bad and you can find this at any hardware store. Next week I will receive a Low pro...

Diode bridge 8A (taken from a broken PSU), capacitor 6800mkF/50V, rectified voltage is +31V w/o load, +28V when connected to Winmate board. Initial results are not that impressive. In the BIOS with my file server (no disks connected) I got 50W with this and the Winmate, compared to 47W with an Ante...

50W is not that bad for a 27" IPS with CCFL can you measure the power with brightness down to 0%. 43W at 0% brightness. I usually have the setting at 8%. My old 2405FPW was to bright even at 0% so that I had to adjust the gamma slightly in the driver settings. Nice to not have to do that anymore. I...

Are there any low power IPS monitors? I settled for a Dell U2711 since a TN panel doesn't cut it for me. The U2711 is pretty nice though, except for the cost. About 50W at my current settings. Not that bad for a 27" IPS with CCFL backlight. It's also silent at any brightness setting. 50W is not tha...

He want to use core i3 and a H55 motherboard is probably the most energy efficient platform you can use G41 is not energy efficient. Using core i3 and H55 will be able to get 15W idle or close that will probably not possi...

I want to build a HTPC with H55 mobo, Core i530 CPU, SSD and Soundcard. The ripple needs to be low because the cleaner power will improve the audio quality of the soundcard. What low loads are you referring to? and if they are low why are you needing a 80W AC adapter?

I came across this and though it might be of interest: Traco Power has a new AC/DC converter, the TXH series, which they claim has up to 93% efficiency , although the datasheet says 91% typical. The 240W version would probably work great with dual DC/DC converters, but obviously its not a plug and ...

Interesting that it works for you with G45 that is 24W TDP and it will not work for me on G31 with 15.5W TDP.
Can you put your hand on the Northbridge heatsink after one hour or more in use?.

Yes you can use that for a fan or HDD is standard connector with from left to right 12V;GND;GND;5V .
For fans you can use the dedicated smaller two pin connectors near this 4 pin molex there are two one is 12V and the other is 5V

Re: How to modify ATX PSU to output higher voltage? (14V+)

Not for computer use, but I need a high current power supply that can deliver 15+ amps at 13V or above (ideally 14V, but no more than 15V). All the high current power supplies are expensive, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a way or could point me in the right direction to modifying an existin...
